Less Mix-Up, More Up-Time – „Cisco System” replaces „Cisco Mod.”

For several years, we offered two different Cisco configurations for our transceivers, named “Cisco Systems” and “Cisco Mod.”. This was necessary because certain Cisco models, such as the C9500-48Y4C, required a different set of parameters compared to other models in the Nexus 9K family.

However, this occasionally led to confusion, as “Cisco Systems” and “Cisco Mod.” were mixed up, resulting in deployment delays.

After thorough evaluation and lab testing, we have confirmed that merging the changes from “Cisco Mod.” into “Cisco Systems” is safe, without jeopardizing compatibility. If you have previously used “Cisco Mod.”, you may have already seen a notice in our app indicating that it has been replaced.

Currently, both versions are still available, but “Cisco Mod.” will be gradually phased out over the next year.
